Woman robbed of chain, cash on Brampton street

crimeInvestigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Peel Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a vicious and cowardly culprit of a robbery incident.

On Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at approximately 4:30 pm, the female victim was walking on a catwalk in the area of Fernforest Drive and Black Oak Drive, Brampton when she was approached by the male culprit. The culprit grabbed the victim, knocked her down to the ground and repeatedly assaulted her. The violent criminal then ripped a chain from the victim’s neck and removed cash from her purse.

The culprit is described as male black, in his late teens with a thin build, clean shaven and a short afro.  At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black shirt and jeans.

Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance.
