The second Annual World of Jazz Festival happens once again in downtown Brampton from Sept. 7 to 9.
The festival showcases 14 ensembles, featuring more than 90 musicians, a variety of jazz interpretations and performances, with nearly 50 per cent of the ensemble consisting of local Brampton artists.
The event — hosted by not-for-profit organization B-Jazzed — will include artists like multi-Juno nominated pianist Michael Kaeshammer, the Yonge Kings, Juno nominee Brad Cheeseman, Avery Raquel, and many more.
According to the director of the event and co-founder of B-Jazzed, Carmen Spada, the event also aims to showcase a wide variety of jazz interpretations, including zydeco, blues, funk, jazz fusion, Latin jazz, gypsy jazz, West and East Indian fusions, straight ahead swinging standards, and even tap dancers at the jam session.
