On July 25th, the Canadian Youth Think Tank will host Mobilizing 22: A Youth, Leadership and Policy Conference at the Mississauga Civic Centre with the support from the United Way of Peel Region, the India Rainbow Community Services of Peel, and the Lions Club of Mississauga.
This is a one-of-a-kind summit organized for 90-100 motivated young leaders in Mississauga aged between 15 and 24 which will bring together the dynamic fields of public policy and leadership in order to strengthen and mobilize efforts to enable the change young people in our city need.
The name of the conference derives from the fact that 22% of Mississauga is comprised of young people. The idea behind this whole initiative is to give the youth in Mississauga and across Canada to be able to influence the decisions that affect their lives and to help them focusing on participation, protection and promotion of youth in the public sphere.
The Mobilizing 22 conference will feature experts knowledgeable about different policy fields who will share their lived experiences and contribute their expertise to plenary panel discussions. We will also arrange breakout discussion to spark dynamic, open and real conversations with talented young leaders from all corners of our city.
