Washington, Feb. 26 (ANI): Video-sharing website YouTube has launched a tool for creators that allow them to blur any object in their videos before it makes it to the public Web.
Youtube launched a face-blurring tool in 2012, but the updated desktop tool now can blur out any section that move, too, and it keeps them blurred as they travel around the video, reports the Verge.
The tool allows the users to draw a box on top of the part of the video which they want to blur, and it can even track and follow the object as it moves throughout the footage. The users can also change the size of the blur box as the video progresses.
YouTube imagines people will use the tool to protect sensitive information, like license plate or credit card numbers, and to protect people’s identities in compromising interviews or situations. (ANI)
