Aamir Khan’s sister Nikhat Khan to make her TV debut

Nikhat Khan is an actor and a producer who is not often seen in the limelight. She is the sister to Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.

As per latest reports in Hindustan Times, Nikhat Khan is all set to make her debut in television with a show on Star Plus and Disney+ Hotstar, titled, ‘Banni Chow Home Delivery’.

The show has been created by acclaimed TV producer Shashi Mittal and the show also features Pravisht Mishra and Ulka Gupta in lead roles. Nikhat has joined the cast as a supporting character and besides her the show also stars Harsh Vashisht, Rajendra Chawla, Parvati Sehgal, Vishal Puri, Pooja Singh, Ayush Anand and a few others.

‘Banni Chow Home Delivery’ is a Hindi adaptation of a Bengali TV show, which aired on Star’s channel – Star Jalsha, the Bengali channel targeted for Bengali speaking viewers across the world.

The original Bengali show was called, ‘Khukumoni Home Delivery’. The story of the show revolved around an orphan girl who delivers food to several homes as a means to earn a living. The show also includes a mentally unsound character with a huge love for music.

Nikhat Khan tends to stay away from the spotlight, but she has worn the producer’s hat for a number of noted films of her brother’s like ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’, ‘Lagaan’, ‘Tum Mere Ho’, and a few others.

‘Tum Mere Ho’ was directed by Aamir and Nikhat’s father, Tahir Hussain. Nikhat Khan’s acting credits include movies like, ‘Tanhaji’, ‘Saand ki Aankh’ and ‘Mission Mangal’.
