Abhishek Bachchan’s latest movie is ‘Dasvi’ where he plays the role of a jail inmate called Ganga Ram Chaudhary.
As the name suggests, the movie is about Ganga Ram Chaudhary preparing to take his tenth standard board exams.
While there was a debate on when and where this movie will be released. Director Tushar Jalota and producer Dinesh Vijan along with My Cake Films have decided that this movie will directly be released on OTT and will stream on Netflix as well as Jio Cinemas from April 7.
Announcing the release date, Abhishek Bachchan took to his Twitter to share the teaser for the film. He wrote, “From one student to another, Dasvi ke exams ke liye dher saari best wishes!#Dasvi streaming from 7th April on @JioCinema & @NetflixIndia.”
In the teaser we can see Abhishek Bachchan, a jail inmate warning his fellow inmates to not make too much noise as he was preparing for his tenth board exams. Abhishek can be seen dressed in a simple kurta pajama. Along with the teaser, Abhishek also shared a poster on his account, with a tagline that read, “’Jail Se Dasvi Karna is my right to education.”
When the first poster of the film was released it featured Abhishek sitting on a throne with a Pagdi (turban). Yami Gautam plays the role of an IPS officer while Nimrat Kaur is playing a politician in the film.
