Hollywood actor Mike Epps known for projects like ‘Girls Trip’ and ‘Dolomite Is My Name’ is the latest addition to the all star cast of Marvel’s superhero, Spider-Man spin-off movie, ‘Madame Web’.
‘Madame Web’ is the first woman character to be developed in Marvel’s universe of characters. Epps has now joined Isabela Merced, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Emma Roberts and Tahar Rahim.
The details about Epps’ role in the movie, which has been billed by Marvel as an original story has so far not been revealed.
The story has been based on the Marvel comics by writer Denny O’ Neil as well as artist John Romita Jr.
As per the comics, ‘Madame Web’ is a clairvoyant person with psychic abilities and these specifically allow her to see into the various Spider-man worlds across universes.
The movie is being directed by S J Clarkson who is best known for directing Marvel series, ‘Jessica Jones’ and ‘The Defender’.
The movie has been written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama and Kerem Sanga authoring the first draft. As of now, the movie is scheduled to release on July 7, 2023.
