Alex Wolff joins the cast of Christopher Nolan’s next, ‘Oppenheimer’

Hollywood actor Alex Wolff who gained popularity in M Night Shyamalan’s ‘Old’ and was also a part of Nicholas Cage’s indie hit ‘Pig’ has reportedly joined the all-star cast of Christopher Nolan’s next movie, ‘Oppenheimer’.

The movie is said to be a biopic on the famous physicist Robert J. Oppenheimer, who was known as one of the fathers of atom bomb.

Actor Cillian Murphy will be playing the titular role of the physicist in the movie. As of now, the details about which character Wolff will be playing is still under wraps.

Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ revolves around the story of how the physicist helped develop atomic bombs during the second World War but later found that his loyalty to the United States was questioned by overly suspicious government officials.

‘Oppenheimer’ has an all-star ensemble cast with some big-name Hollywood actors which include Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Rami Malek, Blunt Florence, Josh Hartnett, Benny Safdie, Matthew Modine, Kenneth Branagh, Dane DeHaan, Alden Ehrenreich, Jack Quaid, David Dastmalchian and David Krumholtz.

The shooting for ‘Oppenheimer’ is currently taking place in New Mexico. The movie is based on the book ’American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J Robert Oppenheimer’, which has been authored by Martin J Sherwin and Kai Bird.

Universal Pictures is producing this movie and the release has been scheduled for July 21, 2023.
