Alia’s birthday surprise – Her first look poster and video for ‘Brahmastra’ is out!

Alia Bhat celebrates her 29th birthday today on March 15 and as a special birthday to the talented star, Karan Johar’s production house, Dharma Movies, which is also producing Brahmastra released her first look poster as well as a special video wishing her a happy birthday and showing a first glimpse of her character ‘Isha’ in the movie ‘Brahmastra’.

The movie directed by Ayan Mukherji also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The movie will release in theaters on September 9, 2022, or as the production house as captioned it in their video – 09.09.2022

Alia Bhat also shared the video on her Instagram handle and wrote, “Happy birthday to me. Can’t think of a better day and a better way for you’ll to meet Isha. Ayan my wonder boy. I love you. Thank you! ☀️ #brahmastra.”

Karan Johar, her mentor, and her debut movie director, who has always been vocal about his praise, support and faith in Alia and her talent, shared a poster of Alia from ‘Brahmastra’ and penned the sweetest note wishing his favourite ‘student’ a very happy birthday. He wrote, “My darling Alia, There is so much love that I feel for you while I write this but also so much respect – respect for your immense talent, your incredible growth as an artist and your ability to be so real through all the beats of your life! 10 years ago I didn’t know that one day I could proudly call you my very own Brahmāstra…my weapon of love and of abundant joy… Happy birthday my darling, shine bright always. Thank you for being YOU and for being the wind beneath the wings of this labour of love. I love you always and forever…”

Brahmastra will be Ranbir Kapoor’s third collaboration with director Ayan Mukherji, the previous two being ‘Wake up Sid’ (2009) and ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ (2013). The movie releasing in September is touted to be the first part of the trilogy and the makers are calling it ‘Brahmastra: Part One Shiva’.
