New Delhi, March 12 (IANS) In an unusual turn of event, a Florida man, who was arrested for 3 felonies and 2 misdemeanors, took time to thank the arresting deputies for being so polite and professional, leaving netizens amused.
The incident came to light after the Polk County Sheriff took to their Twitter handle and shared the photo with the caption, “We arrested this guy for 3 felonies & 2 misdemeanours & he asked to speak to their Sarge so he could compliment them all on their professionalism & excellent customer service. He also asked to take this pic. Great job, SW Delta platoon!”
The Sheriff also took to his Instagram about the unique encounter with the man and wrote, “Mulberry Deputies Smith, Durrance, and Trainee Harrison stopped this motorcyclist for speeding on Church Ave in Mulberry. He had a large knife concealed on his person, as well as heroin, drug paraphernalia, and other Rx and controlled substances. Ultimately, he was arrested for 3 felonies and 2 misdemeanors and requested to speak to a supervisor.
“Sergeant Hearth spoke to the man, who stated he wanted to express how polite and professional all the Deputies had been during the arrest, and how much he appreciated all the courtesy and respect they showed to him. He posed for a quick photo before his transport & asked to have the photo emailed to him so he could post it on his Facebook page when he got released.”
At the end, the Sheriff wrote, “Now if that ain’t excellent customer service, we don’t know what is.”
