Befikre starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor, saw limited growth on the second day since its release, according to press reports.
The film collected Rs. 11.60 crore on Saturday as compared to Rs. 10.36 crore on Friday. Befikre has collected Rs. 21.96 crore in two days.
The slow growth reflects that the turnout in theatres was not as huge as it was on its opening day. Usually, any film shows a strong growth on the second and third day, according to industry experts.
The collection in the first weekend said to be crucial at the success of the box office.
That doesn’t seem to be happening in the case of this Ranveer Singh film.
Another reason of film’s slow growth could be average reviews that are on social media.
There is also a large section of the audience that is praising the performance of Ranveer Singh. Some critics have also said that the film heavily depends on Ranveer.
Previous releases like Kahaani 2 also seem to be struggling at the box office though, there is a silver lining as the Vidya Balan film showed a strong growth on Saturday.
Dear Zindagi beat all the new releases by collecting Rs 61.49 crore till last December 8, progressing towards the Rs 100 crore club. – CINEWS
