Hollywood actor Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ may be the last acting role of the actor for a while.
Recently, in an interview with IGN, via Comicbook, the ‘Doctor Strange’ actor revealed that he wants to take a break from acting because of the intensive work he put in for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.
During the interview, Cumberbatch said, “It gets very multiversal in real life as well.” He was asked what a variant of himself would be doing around the same time and the actor said, “I guess one that’s less busy, maybe…I might be that variant very soon, which is nice – taking a bit of a break.”
The actor was clearly hinting at a break but he did not elaborate any more on his vacation plans if any or how long his break would possibly last.
Right now, though, the actor is attached to a number of projects including, ‘The 39 steps’, ‘Morning’, ‘Rogue Male’ and ‘The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar’, the production of which took place in London, in the month of January.
In the meanwhile, the Benedict Cumberbatch could also feature in other MCU projects like he did for ‘Spider-Man: Ni Way Home’.
‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ opens in cinemas worldwide today, May 6, 2022. Besides Cumberbatch the movie also stars, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Xochitl Gomez and Patrick Stewart among others.
Directed by Sam Raimi, the second ‘Doctor Strange’ movie has been dubbed as the first horror movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
