Brad Pitt is convinced he has face blindness: “That’s why I stay at home”

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is awaiting the release of his upcoming movie, ‘Bullet Train’. In a recent interview, the actor shared that he always had a problem with remembering people’s faces.

The actor further shared that he felt like he had prosopagnosia, which is considered to be a rare ‘face blindness’ disorder but he added that no one really believed him.

According to Page Six, Brad Pitt has not been formally diagnosed with this condition and that the actor “worries that he comes across as remote, aloof and inaccessible, not to mention self-absorbed” when in fact what he goes through is a struggle to recognise faces.

In a GQ cover story, which comes out in August 2022, the actor shared that he really wanted to meet another person who also had this condition. This is not the first time the actor has spoken about having this condition. Brad first talked about the fact that he believes he has prosopagnosia way back in 2013.

The 58-year-old actor reportedly told Esquire, “So many people hate me because they think I’m disrespecting them. Every now and then, someone will give me context, and I’ll say, ‘Thank you for helping me’.”

He tried to explain to some people that he might have face blindness but the actor said that he “only pissed more people off.”

Brad said, “You get this thing, like, ‘You’re being egotistical. You’re being conceited. I can’t grasp a face, and yet I come from such a design/aesthetic point of view. I am going to get it tested. That’s why I stay at home.”

Brad Pitt’s movie, ‘Bullet Train’ releases in theatres on August 5, 2022. The first official trailer of the movie was released in March 2022 and that trailer served as an introduction to the main characters as well as the setting of the story.

Besides Brad Pitt, the movie also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada, Andrew Koji, Michael Shannon, Sandra Bullock and Benito A Martinez Ocasio. Brad Pitt also served as producer for the soon to release Netflix movie, ‘Blonde’, which is a fictionalised take on Marilyn Monroe’s life. Hollywood actor Ana de Armas is headlining that movie. ‘Blonde’ will release on Netflix on September 23, 2022.
