Brad Pitt has been a part of Hollywood for over 30 years now and in a recent interview, the ‘Bullet Train’ actor said that he was thinking about how he would retire from films. The actor shared that he was in what he considered the “last leg” of his career and how his perception shifted after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Brad Pitt is currently dealing with a legal battle with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. He is suing her for selling her stake in the wine business that the former couple co-owned without informing him.
Brad Pitt spoke about his plans for the future which could potentially also include retirement in an interview with GQ. Speaking about it, Brad said, “I consider myself on my last leg… This last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?… I’m one of those creatures that speaks through art. I just want to always make. If I’m not making, I’m dying in some way.”
Brad Pitt also touched up on how life changed after the lockdown. He also spoke about how he realised he was dealing with “low-grade depression” and how since then he has learnt to experience small “moments of joy”.
The 58-yeae-old actor said, “I think joy’s been a newer discovery, later in life… I was always moving with the currents, drifting in a way, and onto the next…I think I spent years with a low-grade depression, and it’s not until coming to terms with that, trying to embrace all sides of self – the beauty and the ugly –that I’ve been able to catch those moments of joy.”
Brad Pitt’s latest release will be the movie, ‘Bullet Train’, which will release on August 5, 2022. The first official trailer of the movie released in March and the anticipation for the high-octane action entertainer is intense.
