Bravery award for Brampton mom who saved her realtor son from further attack

Things might have been much worse for a Brampton realtor who was brutally attacked in his driveway had his mother not intervened.

Jasmail Kaur Mann’s heroic efforts are being recognized by the city in which she and her son live.

Mayor Patrick Brown will present her with bravery award to Jasmail Kaur Mann on behalf of the Brampton tomorrow, the City said in a media advisory.

On Thursday, August 4, police received a 9-1-1 call at around 8:16 am that a man was being assaulted by three suspects in the driveway of a residence in the area of Mayfield Road and Hurontario Street. The victim, a prominent Brampton real estate agent Joti Singh Mann, was attacked just after he got into this vehicle by 3 suspects armed with a machete and an axe. The assault continued outside of the vehicle in the driveway until his mother, Jasmail Kaur Mann, intervened. The suspects fled the area prior to police arriving.

Police are still looking for the suspects.
