Peel Public Health (PPH) is advising anyone who attended recent wedding events at the Red Rose Convention Centre and Candles Banquet Hall in Mississauga to seek immediate testing due to a possible COVID-19 exposure.

Guests attending Red Rose Convention Centre (Champaign Hall), 1233 Derry Road East, Mississauga, on October 8 between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. should get tested, regardless of vaccination status, PPH said in a statement.  As should guests who attended Candles Banquet Hall, 1224 Dundas St. E, Unit 18, Mississauga, on October 9 between 6:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Those seeking testing because of exposure at either location should give testers the following outbreak number: 2253-2021-48743.

PPH said that while fully vaccinated individuals attending either event, who do not have any symptoms, do not need to isolate, they should continue to follow precautions such as masking, physical distancing and limiting contacts while waiting for test results.

Individuals who are not fully vaccinated must self-isolate until they receive a negative test result.

Testing locations can be found by Googling “COVID testing near me” with location services enabled.

Information on how to self-isolate can be found at Coronavirus self-isolation page. Failure to comply with self-isolation can result in fines under the Section 22 Class Order.
