Telegu star Ram Charan’s failure to participate in promotions for Dhruva seems to have affected the popularity of his latest film.
He has left behind all the publicity of Dhruva in the Telugu states setting eyes on United States market.
Charan left for US on Dec 7, two days before the film’s release, and since then, has been touring the US promoting the film.
Charan’s purpose of US visit is because Dhruva has become his highest grossing film ever in the US till date but the figures of domestic box office remains far below expectations.
In some areas the film has got lukewarm response unlike his earlier film.
Demonetisation may be having an effect according to sources but proper promotion could have bettered the situation.
Since Charan’s US trip was planned well in advance, instead of leaving with the whole team, he should have left the director Surender Reddy and Aravind Swamy to promote the film here, according to well-informed sources.
It is quite a surprise how the makers did not make a deal with Rakul Preet who is now the hottest property of Tollywood for promoting the film. – CINEWS
