‘Female gender ratio in WB higher education institutions up’

Kolkata, Feb 11 (IANS) The female gender ratio in West Bengal’s higher education institutions has gone up to over 47 per cent since 2010-11, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday.

“Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science. To encourage women to pursue higher education, our government in #Bangla has extended #Kanyashree scheme to the universities. Female gender ratio in higher education institutions in #Bangla has gone up from 42 per cent in 2010-11 to 47.3 per cent,” she tweeted.
