Fire breaks out at Delhi cold storage

New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS) A major fire broke out in a cold storage near a crowded North Delhi industrial area on Wednesday, a Fire Services official said.

The official said they received a call around 11.50 a.m and 30 fire tenders were pressed into service to extinguish the fire at Rajdhani cold storage at the Lawrence Road industrial area in Shakurpur.

“The cause of fire is not known as yet,” a fire official said.

The industrial area is surrounded by slums.
