Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are superstars in their own right. Hrithik began his career in 2000 with ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai’ and Deepika’s first film was Farah Khan’s blockbuster ‘Om Shanti Om’ with Shahrukh Khan.
Both these actors had super successful debuts and they haven’t looked back since. But for some reason, despite being in the same industry for nearly 15 years and working on many successful projects, these two have never worked together. That’s about to change with Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’.
Siddharth has collaborated with Hrithik in ‘War’ and ‘Bang Bang’ and Deepika and Siddharth are currently working together in the much awaited ‘Pathaan’.
According to reports, ‘Fighter’ will go on the floors in September this year. The movie was first announced last year and it is touted as an aerial action thriller with an estimated budget of 250 crores.
Currently Hrithik is shooting for his role in ‘Vikram Vedha’, the schedule for which should be wrapped up by May. He is expected to start prepping for his role in ‘Fighter’ after that. In ‘Fighter’ he plays the role of an Air Force office, so he will need to lose a few pounds he had gained for his role in ‘Vikram Vedha’.
‘Fighter’s’ start is set in September because both Deepika and Siddharth are currently shooting in Spain for ‘Pathaan’. After this Deepika has a shoot schedule in Hyderabad for ‘Project K’ with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan and she is also expected to start shooting for ‘The Intern’s’ Hindi remake in July.
Siddharth Anand will need to complete post production for ‘Pathaan’ before moving on to ‘Fighter’. Originally ‘Fighter’ was scheduled for Republic Day 2023 but that release date has now been given to ‘Pathaan’. Siddharth is therefore eyeing Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) weekend 2023. His previous movies with Hrithik – ‘War’ and ‘Bang Bang’ also released during Gandhi Jayanti weekends only.
