Seems like Bollywood has caught the wedding fever. Only a month earlier, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot and now Sunny Deol’s son is making headlines for his engagement.
Actor Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol reportedly got engaged to Drisha Roy in a private ceremony. Drisha is the great grand daughter of esteemed filmmaker Bimal Roy.
Karan Deol is known to be an extremely private person and so very little is known about his relationship. He tends to stay out of the limelight as much as possible and it was reported that his engagement was private affair with only close family members in attendance.
Karan and Drisha were rumoured to be in a relationship for a long time now and the two have been spotted attending private events together.
For the unversed, Karan Deol is actor Sunny Deol’s son and veteran actor Dharmendra’s grandson. Karan has already made his Bollywood debut with the movie ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’. The movie was released in September 2019 and it was written and directed by Sunny Deol. The production of the movie was also helmed by Sunny Sounds Pvt Ltd.
Karan’s last movie outing was ‘Velle’, which released in 2021. It is reported that he will be seen next in a movie with his father Sunny and his grandfather, Dharmendra in ‘Apne 2’.
However, despite several media outlets reporting that the pair got engaged, his team has denied all these reports. As reported by TOI, his team said, “Karan and Drisha and childhood friends. The news about them getting engaged is not true.”
It’s unclear as to whether the pair are really engaged or not and we might have to wait until the duo officially confirm the news – either with a statement or with the now very popular trend by sharing pictures and posting about this on their social media handles.
