Karan Johar officially announces ‘Screw Dheela’ starring Tiger Shroff

Filmmaker Karan Johar teased an announcement on Sunday, July 24 and today, a day later on July 25, he has officially announced ‘Screw Dheela’ starring Tiger Shroff in the lead and there is plenty of speculation that his leading lady will likely be Rashmika Mandanna of ‘Pushpa’ fame. Director Shashank Khaitan will be directing this project.

Karan Johar, on Monday, took to his social media and announced the movie. He wrote, “Arriving with a solid punch of entertainment, super excited to present Tiger Shroff in #ScrewDheela, directed by Shashank Khaitan in an all new world of action!!!”

The video attached with the announcement shows Tiger Shroff showing off some action moves in a fight with some goons.

According to a source who spoke with Bollywood Hungama, it was revealed that the movie will be shot both in India and in Europe and the first schedule of the movie will kick off in the latter, international destination.

If Rashmika has indeed been signed up then she will join Tiger for the Europe schedule. The source told the portal, “It’s not one of those run of the mill actioner but has a strong story too and falls in the zone that Tiger has not explored before. The film will be released by mid-2023.”

Currently, the makers are in the midst of casting the entire ensemble cast including the antagonist for the movie.

On the work front, Tiger has ‘Ganapath: Part One’ and ‘Baaghi 4’. Rashmika Mandanna also has quite a few projects in her kitty including, ‘Goodbye’, ‘Mission Manju’ and ‘Animal’. As for Shashank Khaitan, he is also on board as director for Dharma’s ‘Bedhadak’ which stars Shanaya Kapoor, Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya Lalwani.
