Lata Mangeshkar praises Ayushmann Khurrana’s Andhadhun

New Delhi, Feb 29 (IANS) Sriram Raghavan’s thriller “Andhadhun”, which won Ayushmann Khurrana a National Award as Best Actor has received appreciation for his work from veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar on Friday took to social media to praise Ayushmann Khurrana’s acting and singing in the movie.

She wrote, “@ayushmannk ji namaskar. Maine aap ki film Andhadhun aaj dekhi. Aapne bahut accha kaam kiya hai aur jo gaane aapne gaaye hain wo bhi mujhe bahut acche lage. Main aapko bahut badhaai deti hun aur aapko bhavishya mein aur yash mile aisi mangal kaamana karti hun.”

The actor took no time to reply to the praise and wrote, “Lata di aapka yeh kehna mere liye bahut maayne rakhta hai. Aapke is protsaahan ke liye hee shayad maine mehnat ki thi. Aashirwaad ke liye shukriya.”

As Ayushmann replied, the Internet is in complete awe of the social media exchange and flooded the social media with their reactions.

A user wrote, “You deserve compliment for andhadhun because it was really good… sabko compliment nai milta lata ji se . You are lucky…best wishes for the future from all fans….”

Another wrote, “Consider yourself really fortunate. Not everyone gets compliment from the ultra legendary Lata Mangeshkar.”

The film, also featuring Tabu and Radhika Apte and won three National Film Awards in the categories, in the Best Feature Film in Hindi, Best Actor, and Best adapted screenplay categories.

On workfront, Ayushmann Khurrana will be next seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
