Marvel’s latest series Ms. Marvel trailer dropped! Marvel’s first ‘Brown Girl Superhero’

Marvel Studios has been very busy with MCU’s Phase 4 content with their endless launch of Marvel web series in the last year. Following the success of ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’, ‘Loki’ and ‘WandaVision’, Marvel also launched a plethora of extended character shows from the Marvel comic universe.

The latest to join the list is ‘Ms. Marvel’, a web series that is set to premier on Disney+ on June 8.

This show has been created by Bisha K. Ali. Ms Marvel introduces viewers to a whole new superhero, Kamala Khan (who is a Muslim-American teen), played by Iman Vellani, who has to juggle high school along with her new superpowers.

The trailer starts with an introduction to Kamala Khan, who is a teenager from New Jersey and is a massive Avengers fan. She is also an avid gamer and an aspiring artist who often struggles to fit in with her peers. But, suddenly, this girl one day gets superpowers and becomes a superhero just like those she idolizes and she now has to save the world.

Indian fans awaiting the show will be disappointed that the trailer did not feature, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, actor, Farhan Akhtar, who was rumoured to be in this show. Fans could not spot Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan too in the trailer. He had previously confirmed that he was shooting for this series.

Ms. Marvel’ will run for six episodes and includes actors, Saagar Shaikh, Matt Lintz, Aramiz Knight, Mohan Kapur and Zenobia Shroff in ensemble roles. The trailer has received mixed reviews from viewers.

We will have to wait for its release on Disney+ on June 8 to know if Marvel’s ‘brown girl’ superhero ‘Ms. Marvel. is a success or not.
