‘Modern Love Mumbai’ music album composers include Ram Sampath, Vishal Bharadwaj, Shankar Ehsaan Loy and more


Prime Video is all set to unveil the music album for their upcoming anthology series ‘Modern Love Mumbai’, the first Indian adaptation of America’s popular ‘Modern Love’ anthology series.

The music album for this Amazon Original series will feature some of the best music composers of Bollywood like Vishal Bharadwaj, Ram Sampath, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Neel Adhikari and Gaurav Raina and the melodies will be voiced by notes singers like Sonu Nigam, Nikita Gandhi and Meiyang Chang among others.

The music of the series is said to be heart-warming. ‘Modern Love Mumbai’ is the first local Indian adaptation of the international anthology series. This six-part series has been directed by six noted directors, namely, Shonali Bose, Vishal Bharadwaj, Alankrita Shrivastava, Dhruv Sehgal, Noopur Asthana and Hansal Mehta. The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 13, 2022, across 240 countries and territories worldwide.

‘Modern Love Mumbai’ is the first of three Indian language adaptations of the show. The other two language adaptations will be in Telugu and Tamil and the anthology series will be titled, ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ and ‘Modern Love Chennai’, respectively.

As per the makers the series will take the audience through a heartwarming journey of the discovery of love through the different stories that showcase multiple human emptions and explore various relationship dynamics of the everyday common man.

The portrayal of love shown in the series will include familial love, self-love, romance, love for a friend, love that stems from kindness as well as forbidden love.

The editor of ‘Modern Love’ at New York Times, Daniel Jones said, “India is a country where love in its various forms is at the centre of its cultural fabric. It is exciting and an honour to see these stories of love being adapted for the Indian versions of the show. We’re thrilled with the appreciation Modern Love has received worldwide. All the ‘Modern Love’ local adaptations are expected to release in 2022, with the first one – ‘Modern Love Mumbai’ releasing on May 13, 2022.
