Chennai, March 1 (IANS) Car companies Nissan Motor India and Ford India on Wednesday said they closed last month’s sales book with higher sales.
In a statement, Nissan Motor India said it sold 4,807 units in the domestic market last month against 3,850 units sold the same month a year ago.
“Our strong sales performance in February maintains the Nissan Group’s position as the second-fastest growing car brand in India so far this fiscal year,” Managing Director Arun Malhotra was quoted as saying.
On its part, Ford India said it sold a total of 24,026 units last month up from 17,306 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
