‘Love Hostel’ and ‘Haseena Dillruba’ star Vikrant Massey recently tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Sheetal Thakur last month in Bilaspur in a small and intimate ceremony.
The ideal follow up to the dreamy wedding would have been a perfect wedding at a picturesque location.
However, Vikrant Massey had to trade a romantic vacation with his newly wed wife for long hours alone shooting at Rajkot instead.
Just within a few days of his wedding, Massey had to leave for Gujarat to shoot for ‘Gaslight’. The movie which is being directed by Pavan Kriplani also stars Sara Ali Khan and Chitrangada Singh.
When was sat for a chat with a news house, he started it by saying, “My wife is upset”. Right now, he is busy shooting, but Massey hopes he can make it up to Sheetal soon. He said, ideally he would have liked to have taken a month or so off but things just worked out this way. He said he was at home for 4 days after his wedding, then he set off for his shooting schedule.
He says he will figure out a way to make it up to his wife, who has been incredibly supportive so far, but there are times that she complains like any other wife.
Massey said the other reason he didn’t want to take time off was because this is Pavan Kriplani’s film and he was keen to work with him for quite a while now. He added that they were originally supposed to collaborate on ‘Bhoot Police’ but somehow that didn’t work out.
Now that he is working with Kriplani, he didn’t want to compromise and somehow the schedules worked out this way.
Massey started 2022 with ‘Love Hostel’, which talked about the honour killing issue in India through Massey’s and Sanya Malhotra’s love story. Though it was an intense drama, it garnered mixed reviews.
Massey though is unaffected. He said, “Criticism doesn’t bother me because I see them as different perspectives. I neither disregard nor take any of them seriously. Everyone has the right to voice their opinion.” He added that the subject was very disturbing and he wanted to take therapy during the making of the film.
