New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS) A Noida resident has been found missing under mysterious circumstances after leaving his white Audi car at the DND flyover in south Delhi, police said on Friday.

Police said the man was identified from the car’s registration documents as Charan Singh of Noida’s Sector 41.

Charan Singh, 40, had gone to the flyover around 5 a.m. on Friday but went missing thereafter, his family said.

“Around 9 a.m on Friday, security guards posted at the flyover informed the Sunlight Colony police station about the car abandoned near the flyover on the Yamuna river. Initially, it appeared he committed suicide by jumping into the river. However, divers did not find any body even after searching the spot for hours,” a senior police officer said.

Police are also investigating the kidnapping angle to the case.

“It seems the man left his house on his own and did not want to communicate with his family about his hideout. It is too early to say anything in the matter without any lead or evidence,” he added.
