Ontario govt. plans to distribute carbon tax stickers at gas pumps

The PC government has promised to fight the federally imposed carbon tax through every legal means available. All options are on the table and this week the environment and energy ministers of Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick announced they will introduce legislation that would require stickers to be put on gas pumps saying the tax will add more than 11 cents per litre to the price of gas by 2022.

The carbon tax will cost the average Ontario driver $57 at the pumps this year. The carbon tax will increase the price of natural gas in Ontario by 3.9 cents per cubic metre. -CINEWS
