New Delhi, Nov 3 (IANS) Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was on Thursday stopped by police from proceeding on a protest march against non-implementation of the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme for the armed forces.

“Gandhi was stopped while he was proceeding with the protest march near Parliament Street,” Joint Commissioner of Police Dependra Pathak told IANS.

The Congress protest comes in the wake of the suicide by ex-serviceman Ram Kishan Grewal on Tuesday demanding implementation of OROP.
