Prince Harry reveals the moment he realised Meghan is his “soulmate”

Prince Harry was in New York on Monday, July 18, to deliver a keynote speech at the UN (United Nations) headquarters on the occasion of Nelson Mandela Day.

In his keynote speech, Prince Harry revealed that he realised his now wife, Meghan Markle was his “soulmate” when the two of them were taking a trip to Africa.

Speaking about it, Prince Harry said, “Since I first visited Africa as a 13-year-old boy, I’ve always found hope on the continent,” he shared, calling it his “lifeline” where he’s “found peace and healing time and time again.”

He went on to add, “It’s where I felt closest to my mother and sought solace after she died and where I knew I’d found a soulmate in my wife.”

Harry and Meghan have visited Africa twice when they were dating (during their courtship) and once after they got married.

The couple travelled to Botswana soon after they started dating each other and then returned the August of next year to ring in Meghan’s 36th birthday.

In April 2019, Meghan and Harry shared a photo of their second trip to Botswana where they were seen putting on a satellite collar on a bull elephant so conservationists can track the animal’s migratory patterns and protect it well from poachers.

Harry and Meghan got married in May 2018 at St. George Chapel at Windsor Castle in London. It was a grand, lavish ceremony which was attended by celebrities and royals alike. Harry and Meghan made their third trip to Africa with their baby boy Archie in September 2019, less than five months after Meghan gave birth to Archie.
