New Delhi, Feb 18 (IANS) Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday posted photographs of her wedding on Twitter on the occasion of her 23rd marriage anniversary.

“A million beautiful moments, love, tears, laughter, fury, friendship, family, two gifts from God, 4 unmatched canine fans and the irreplaceably tenacious wisdom of a lifetime together…. 6+23 years….29 years today….and forever!” she tweeted along with the collage of wedding photographs.

Her husband Robert Vadra responded to it through a Facebook post, “Happy Anniversary P. Many years of our togetherness, has made us grow as one. We learn together each day n stay happy no matter what…Good times, tough times, have made our lives so much more interesting. Wish you happier, healthier and love filled days and years. Looking forward to many years by your side, no matter what comes ahead.”

They had got married at 10 Janpath on 18 February 1997. Priyanka and Robert are considered power couple of the politics.

The collage of pictures that Priyanka posted also included Rahul and Sonia performing wedding rituals, welcoming and blessing the bridegroom Vadra, besides some candid clicks of Priyanka and Vadra with each other and with their children Miraya and Raihan.

It has been only a year that Priyanka entered into active politics and was made the party General Secretary in-charge of eastern UP. Against everyone’s expectations, she could not garner votes during the 2019 general elections.

Her charisma could not save the Congress also in the recently concluded Delhi Assembly elections despite some sassy remarks against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Priyanka is often compared with her grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi due to the striking resemblance. Her husband is facing corruption charges over land deal.

Their son Raihan announced his coming of age by voting in the February 8 Delhi elections. He also spoke to the media on the occasion.
