Prohibitory orders have been imposed in Lucknow, barely hours before the Bakrid festival.
The orders will remain in force till August 10, said an official order issued late on Saturday night.
The order also said that there will be no “qurbani” in public places and the use of loudspeakers will be according to rules.
The orders have been issued in view of the festivals of Bakrid, the month of Sawan and Muharram.
Tractors, trolleys, bullock carts, inflammable material, cylinders, and weapons will not be permitted within one km of the Vidhan Bhawan, stated the order.
Keeping stones, soda water bottles, explosives and inflammable material in open spaces or on roof tops has also been prohibited.
“Drone surveillance will be undertaken and those found guilty of violating orders will be punished,” it added.
