Randeep Hooda suffered an injury on set of his upcoming series, Inspector Avinash. He was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani hospital on the 1st of March. He underwent knee surgery on Wednesday.
He was operated upon by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, who said that the surgery was completed successfully and that the actor should be discharged in 2-3 days. He also said that Hooda had injured the same knee when shooting for Radhe which had also required surgery.
Hooda is said to have gotten injured when he was shooting a combat sequence for the series. Inspector Avinash is a show based on real-life events of Inspector Avinash who deals with busting various criminal activities in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Randeep Hooda is known for his intense involvement into his characters when shooting a film. He went from 77 kgs to 94 kgs to for his role in Do lafzon ki kahani and later to essay the role of Sarabjit, he is said to have lost 18 kgs in 27 days.
His passion for his craft is evident in the way he adapts and transforms himself in any and every way in order to essay his characters to perfection.
Given that Radhe released last year, this is likely Hooda’s second knee injury in two years, that too the same knee.
Inspector Avinash is directed by Neeraj Pathak and produced by Jio Studios and is slated for a release in March 2022.
In addition to Inspector Avinash, Hooda has two movies which are upcoming, Mard as well as Unfair and lovely. The actual release date of both movies is unknown as of now.
