‘Rocketry’ movie is stopped midway: Madhavan uses Twitter to calm angry audience

R. Madhavan’s directorial debut ‘Rocketry – The Nambi Effect’ received a warm response from audiences when it opened a couple of weeks ago. The movie has managed to retain the attention of the masses and two weeks post release it still seems to be gathering audiences.

While the movie is a heartwarming and heart-wrenching tale but most of all it is an inspiring true tale of an exceptional man.

Such is the entertainment value of this story that when a theatre stopped the screening mid-way, the crowd got angry and restless as they did not want any disruption.

Reportedly a theatre in Kolkata, India had to stop the screening of the movie halfway through due to certain problems.

But this halt in the screening led to the theatre managers and owners facing the wrath of the audience whose movie was interrupted. The angry people in the audience were screaming and demanded that they get a refund because they were made to wait for the movie to resume.

The video of the incident went viral on social media and actor-director of ‘Rocketry’, R. Madhavan happened to see it as well.

When he saw the video, he took to his Twitter to request the audience that they calm down. In his Twitter post, he wrote, “There must have been a genuine reason and cause. Pls do be calm and show some love ppl. Humble request. The show will be in soon. All the love”

‘Rocketry – The Nambi Effect’ was first premiered at Cannes Film Festival this year where it received a thunderous standing ovation. The movie has special cameo appearances by actors Shahrukh Khan and Tamil actor Suriya in the Hindi and Tamil versions of the movie respectively.

It released in cinemas on July 1, 2022.
