Sandra Bullock on acting hiatus: “I really don’t know how long it will last”

Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock has opened up about her break from acting. Sandra was recently seen in the movie, ‘The Lost City’ in which she played Loretta Stage. The movie also starred Channing Tatum.

Speaking about her acting hiatus Sandra shared that she felt burnt out and tired and needed to take a break from filming and she also added that she was not sure when she would get back on the big screen.

In the same interview, as reported by TOI, Sandra Bullock said, “I don’t want to be beholden to anyone’s schedule other than my own. I’m so burnt out. I’m so tired, and I’m so not capable of making healthy, smart decisions and I know it.”

When Sandra was asked how long her break will last, she replied, “I don’t know”. Sandra also admitted that she would use work as “crutch” and she realised that she needed to take a step back from it all.

She said, “Work has always been steady for me, and I’ve been so lucky. I saw it possibly was becoming my crutch. It was like opening up a fridge all the time and looking for something that was never in the fridge.”

“I said to myself, ‘Stop looking for it here because it doesn’t exist here. You already have it; establish it, find it and be OK not having work to validate you’,” she added.

Sandra further added that she also produced ‘The Lost City’ along with Liza Chasin and she thought that was a good way to “go out with a bang”.

She concluded by saying, “I love working with artists, and that’s why Liza and I were very well-matched. If I’m going out with a bang, I want to go out with the right person.”
