Service changes coming to MiWay

MiWay has made some changes to its schedule adjustments and route cancellations as part of MiWay Five Service Plan, the city’s long-term vision for improving local transit. Going forward, transit users can enjoy better frequency on busy routes, new Sunday services and improved connections with GO Transit on the Mississauga Transitway.

Route cancellations include the northbound morning trip of the 315 Rick Hansen to City Centre route, which travels from the City Centre Transit Terminal. The route was cancelled due to low ridership. The city also axed the 332 Mount Carmel to the Lisgar GO Station route for the same reason.

Other route changes are as follows:
*37 — Creditview-Erindale GO: schedules adjusted to improve GO connections
*70 — Keaton: more westbound early morning service from Islington Subway due to increased ridership
*107 — Malton Express: more frequent all-day service on weekdays and Saturdays; new Sunday service
*109 — Meadowvale Express: more frequent all-day service on weekdays
*110 — University Express: route extended to service Erin Mills Transitway station to provide connections to MiWay and GO Transit

GO Transit will also begin using the east segment of the Mississauga Transitway, from Skymark Hub at the Airport Corporate Centre, stopping at Dixie Station before heading to the Square One GO Bus Terminal.
