Shahrukh Khan’s back on the big screen after 1287 days with cameo in ‘Rocketry – The Nambi Effect’

Shahrukh Khan’s last appearance on the big screen was his home production, ‘Zero’ which released in 2018. The movie released nearly four years ago and it did not receive good response at the box office.

Since its failure, Shahrukh khan decided to take a break so he could introspect on the type of movies he should do but his break got extended due to the pandemic.

However, almost as though he is making up for the extended break, in 2023 he will be seen in three movies – ‘Pathaan’ helmed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Jawan’ by Atlee and ‘Dunki’ his much-awaited collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani.

But for all those die-hard Shahrukh Khan fans who cannot wait another six months to see him on the big screen, there’s good news in the offing. Shahrukh Khan will be making cameo appearances in two upcoming movies, both of which will be released in 2022.

The first one is R. Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry – The Nambi Effect’, a biopic which has been helmed by R. Madhavan and he is also the lead star of the film. It is based on the life of ISRO former scientist Nambi Narayanan who was falsely accused if espionage.

The other cameo appearance is in ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’ which releases in September 2022.

As per reports in Bollywood Hungama Shahrukh Khan’s role in ‘Rocketry’ movie as well as ‘Brahmastra’, Shahrukh Khan has a small but meaty appearance. He is not in a blink and you miss it role. In both the movies, Shahrukh will be seen on the screen for several minutes and the character he essays in both, may be brief but critical to the movie’s narrative.

This is great news for fans of SRK who have been waiting patiently to see their favourite star on the big screen. Some have even calculated that from the release of Zero in 2018 to the release date of ‘Rocketry – The Nambi Effect’ it will have been 1287 since Shahrukh Khan appeared in a movie on the big screen.
