Toronto Public Health (TPH) has opened 8,000 new appointments on the provincial booking system for eligible Toronto residents to book to receive their first, second or third dose of COVID-19 vaccine this Sunday, January 16 or Monday, January 17, at any of the five City-operated mass immunization clinics.
To book an appointment, click the blue “Book a Vaccine” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 or call 1-833-943-3900. City-run clinics are easily accessible by transit and offer free parking on site. Clinic staff are also able to provide resources in multiple languages. A person with a vaccination appointment can also bring a support person to help with translation.
People with vaccination appointments are asked to arrive no more than 10 minutes early to vaccination clinics. There will be vaccine doses available for everyone who has an appointment; arriving earlier than necessary does not impact availability. There are no walk-in appointments at City-run vaccination clinics.
While City-run clinics and health care partners across the province await further shipments of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine later this month, all City of Toronto-run clinics will administer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to residents 30 years of age and older.
The new vaccination appointments for eligible adults and kids are part of the continuing efforts to make progress in helping Toronto residents get vaccinated.
To date, 49 per cent of Toronto kids aged five to 11 years has received at least their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 11 per cent of kids has two doses.
Of residents 12 years of age and older, 89.8 per cent has at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine; almost 87 per cent has two doses, and 48 per cent has had their third dose.
