Toronto Zoo’s offers ‘drive-thru experience’ starting Saturday

The Toronto Zoo opens its Scenic Drive-Thru Experience on Saturday, as it gravitates toward the safest way to open the zoo and ensure safety for all. It will be almost like African Lion Safari on a much bigger scale.
The zoo said tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday and that they must be purchased in advance.
Guests will be able to see the zoo from a whole new perspective, as they drive their own vehicles on staff-only roads, pedestrian walkways, and even through the lion cave in the African Savanna.
“We are so excited to introduce this new experience to our guests. We have truly missed welcoming people to our Toronto Zoo and this is a new and innovative way for our guests to enjoy the Zoo in the safety of their own vehicles,” Dolf DeJong, CEO of the Toronto Zoo, said in a release.
The drive-thru experience travels 3.4 kilometres and takes around 45 minutes to an hour.
A car with two or less people will cost $32 for zoo members and $44 for non-members. A vehicle with three or more people inside will cost $47 for members and $59 for non-members.
It will be a great time to connect with nature and animals who incidentally are lonely as they miss the crowds of fawning children and adults.
