Vanni Kapoor: Befikre is much more than just kisses

Vaani Kapoor who is coming back to films after three years says Befikre is much more than just kisses.

She says she was very lucky to work with a dream director – Aditya Chopra – and perhaps the best Bollywood actor with inexhaustible energy – Ranveer Singh.

“I believe in Aditya Chopra-kind of love. Adi has put his heart and soul in Befikre. I know you can’t make out anything from the trailer but that was intentional. When you will come to the theatres, you will be pleasantly surprised.”

Talking about Ranveer’s energy Vaani said, “It is very hard to match his energy. I don’t know what battery he uses. I need to find that. It is unique and I love to watch his energy from a distance. You know, he is very infectious. He makes the room alive. No matter how your energy is, he will surely up that. It has been a good learning process with him. I hope I get somewhere near his energy.”

The 31-year-old actress said, “Adi sir had told me way before that I have to shoot in red chaddi (red underwear) and walk around. So I had hit the gym and was on a diet. It was a unique process and we all would brainstorm what we wanted to show in the song. Of course, my red chaddi became the talk of the town. We are extremely happy that the music of the film is doing so well. People have made a point to praise the picturisation and the silly energy every song has in it, which in a way reflects about the film as well.”

Set in Paris, the actors were told to learn basic French for the film. Ranveer said, “I didn’t learn much. I learnt only the flirty lines. Rest Vaani knows.”
