A warrant has been issued for a 29-year-old woman wanted in connection with human trafficking incidents in Markham.
On May 27, 2016, police began an investigation into a suspected pimp after a female victim came forward to police with information.
Police identified the suspect as Pardis Senoubari Abedini and a warrant was issued for her arrest for several offences related to human trafficking. Investigators are now releasing an image of the suspect and appealing to the public for any information on her whereabouts. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Members of the Drugs and Vice Unit are continuing their aggressive efforts in combating human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of women and underage girls. In many cases, women and young girls involved in prostitution are forced into the sex trade through violence, threats of violence, coercion and trickery. York Regional Police considers these women and girls to be victims of crime and we are committed to investigating all incidents relating to human trafficking and providing assistance to victims. Investigators are willing to speak with anyone involved in the sex trade who may be looking for a way out or who may require assistance to escape these dangerous circumstances.
