Weekly yard waste collection begins Monday, October 4 and runs until Friday, December 10 for residents in the cities of Brampton and Mississauga.

Residents in urban areas of Caledon will continue to receive bi-weekly yard waste collection on their scheduled days, while rural areas of Caledon will have their yard waste picked up on designated Fridays.

Yard waste must be at the curb by 7 am and will only be collected in a Kraft brown paper bag, or any bin or container clearly labelled “yard waste” with a marker or sticker.

Acceptable yard waste items include leaves and yard raking’s with debris, tree trimmings, branches, brush, hedge trimmings, household and garden plants. Halloween pumpkins, without the candles, can also be included in the yard waste.

Residents of Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon are encouraged to check peelregion.ca/waste for information or sign up to receive free weekly waste notification reminders.
