When Natalie Portman spoke up about her ‘Wild Youth’

Over the last several years Natalie Portman has established herself in Hollywood as a powerhouse of talent. She is known as a dedicated and hard-working actress.

However, what is not known as widely is that the strait-laced actress had quite the wild youth during her college days. Natalie Portman is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Institute and in her early days the actress shared that initially she “sugar-coated” her image when she claimed that she was a “multi-lingual, clean-living vegetarian” who put her movie star career on hold to pursue her college education.

But the actor later confessed that she was in fact quite the opposite on campus. ““When I was in Harvard, I smoked weed every day… I cheated every test and snorted all the yay.” (Which is slang for cocaine.)”

This was a quote from an interview she gave to the Guardian way back in 2006. Natalie made her Hollywood debut in the year 1994 with the movie ‘Leon: The Professional’. Following that she worked in movies like ‘Heat’, ‘Mars Attacks’ and ‘Beautiful Girls’.

Natalie Portman won an Academy Award for her role in ‘Black Swan’. She also gained world wide popularity when she played the role of Dr. Jane Foster in the first two ‘Thor’ movies of the MCU.

She reportedly exited the franchise and wasn’t a part of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, the third instalment of the ‘Thor’ franchise. She has since come back on board and will be seen reprising her role as Jane Foster for the fourth movie – ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

The fourth movie gives her a wonderful stage to flex her superhero muscles, as she will reportedly be playing the role of female Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie also stars Chris Hemsworth, Russel Crowe, Chris Pratt, Christian Bale and Tessa Thompson among others. It will release in cinemas worldwide on July 8, 2022.

Whatever her beginnings, Natalie Portman has cleaned up in the best way is now a role model for women the world over.
