Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, on Wednesday, July 20, was airlifted from Dibrugarh to Guwahati in Assam after the singer fell down and passed out due to a minor head injury.
As per a report in Economic Times, Garg was at a resort in Dibrugarh when he fell down and sustained the injury. Earlier on Tuesday night, Garg had complained about feeling uneasy and when those close to him were taking him to the hospital, he fell down and passed out.
Reportedly, the singer was rushed to a super specialty hospital in Guwahati where an MRI scan was also done. According to a senior neuro specialist at the hospital, Garg did not suffer any major injuries, he had an epileptic fit as per a hospital official.
The hospital added that Garg is currently doing well and a team of doctors across various departments are attending to him. Apparently, the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma has directed the Rana Barua hospital that they should “ensure the best possible medical treatment” for the singer.
Zubeen is a singer from Assam who has sung many a Bollywood hits in the past like ‘Ya Ali’, ‘Dil Tu Hi Bata’ and others. The 52-year-old singers has also released a number of solo music albums like ‘Chanda’, ‘Chandni Raat’, ‘Sparsh’, among others.
