Peel police released photos and video footage to get the public’s help in identifying a man who assaulted a young woman in Brampton after accusing her of filming him.
On Monday, October 23 at around 8:30 p.m., a 23-year-old woman from Brampton, was present at a shopping mall in the area of Queen Street and Central Park Drive in Brampton when she was approached by an unknown suspect accusing her of filming him. She attempted to walk away when the suspect approached her again, slapped her phone out of her hand and assaulted her.
Thankfully the victim only suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as male, black, 5’7″, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and black shoes.
Investigators are appealing to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121, extension 2133.
