Let’s go to the EX! The CNE starts this Friday

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) begins this Friday. Canada’s largest annual community event returns to Exhibition Place and will be on till Monday, September 4.

Taking place over the 18 days leading up to and including Labour Day, the CNE offers a wide variety of entertainment and events including Bandshell concerts, a casino, midway rides and games, food, shopping, a working farm and a three-day Air Show.

All rides are open on weekdays from 11 am to midnight and weekends from 10 am to midnight. Hours may differ for Labour Day Monday.

Food Trucks returns to the CNE this year! Situated on Princes’ Boulevard just inside the historic Princes’ Gates in front of the Beanfield Centre and Enercare Centre, the Food Truck Frenzy and Craft Beerfest will feature a wide variety of tasty treats and live music! Times: 5pm on Saturday August 19, 10 am August 20th to September 4.

A Drone Show will transform skies over the Food Building. This amazing display of light and colour, presented by Vinfast, takes place every night from August 18 to September 3.

Please note: The CNE’s Drone Show’s “start time” may have varied depending on weather conditions and Transport Canada stipulations.

While there are no road closures as a result of this event, traffic congestion and delays in the area are expected. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes, and it is recommended that patrons attending the CNE take TTC or GO Train.
